Ave Maria of Fatima

Gladys Gollahon

Ave Maria, Ave Maria! The heavens were opened,
Our Lady appeared at Fatima one day,
To tell us again of the great need for prayer.
As her children we answer this way:

1. Dear Lady of Fatima, we come on bended knee
To beg your intercession for peace and unity.
Dear Mary, won't you show us the right and shining way?
We pledge our love and offer you a rosary each day.

2. You promised at Fatima each time that you appeared
To help us if we pray to you to banish was and fear.
Dear Lady, on first Saturdays, we ask your guiding hand
For grace and guidance her on earth
And protection for our land.

Ave Maria, O Maiden, O Mother

Slovac Hymnal

1. Ave Maria, O Maiden, O Mother,
fondly thy children are calling on thee;
thine are the graces unclaimed by another,
sinless and beautiful Star of the sea.

Mater amabilis, ora pro nobis,
pray for thy children who call upon thee;
Ave Sanctissima, Ave Purissima,
sinless and beautiful Star of the sea.

2. Ave Maria, the night shades are falling,
softly, our voices arise unto thee;
earth’s lonely exiles for succour are calling,
sinless and beautiful Star of the sea.

Mater amabilis…

3. Ave Maria, thy children are kneeling,
words of endearment are murmured to thee;
softly thy spirit upon us is stealing,
sinless and beautiful Star of the sea.

Mater amabilis…

4. Ave Maria, thou portal of heaven,
Harbor of refuge, to thee do we flee:
Lost in the darkness, by stormly winds driven,
Shine on our pathway, fair Star of the Sea!

Mater amabilis…

At break of dawn

Refrain:
At break of dawn I will rise and sing praise to You,
God of land and sky and sea,
I will rise to greet each new day with a song of praise.

Yahweh to You the earth belongs,
Yahweh, the world is Yours.

Wondrous and great are all Your works,
Wondrous and full of life.

Happy are they who know the Lord.
Happy and blest are they.

Thank Him, thank Yahweh for His love.
Thank Him with heart and voice.

Yahweh, send forth Your Spirit
and fill our hearts with love.

Aspirations of mother Foundress

Sr. M. Pia Del Rosario, RGS

O my God, may every beat of my heart
Be a prayer to obtain grace and pardon for sinners.
May all my sighs be so many appeals to Thy infinite mercy;
May each look have the virtue to gain to Thy love
Those souls whom I shall look on.
May the food of my life be to work without ceasing
For Thy glory and the salvation of souls. Amen.

As Runs the thirsting Deer

As runs the thirsting deer to find
Where cooling waters flow,
So rush the wishes of my heart to come before you Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord

The Lord, the God of heaven, is the thirsting of my heart.
When will this lowly servant see your face, O mighty Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord

With songs in praise of you upon my lips
And in my heart, I joyfully approach
The banquet table of the Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord

The splendor of the altar beckons for us to approach
We all have been invited to the table of the Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord

We eat this bread in holy love and peace-fill unity
This bread made for us by the hands of Jesus Christ our Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord

We drink there of the chalice which salvation overflows
Till then we will be singing songs in praise of Christ our Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord

We will find there bread to give us live, there wine to fire our love.
It is the Blood of God's own Lamb, the Body of our Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord

May all our lives be sanctified by living unity
With Body, Blood, with soul and God-head of our saving Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord

Well, Lord, we are your creatures, take us, do your will in us;
May we be only yours both now and always, mighty Lord!
Lord, come, make our hearts your dwelling.
For you we are longing. Come, O Lord
