Lift up Your Heads o Gates
Lift up, lift up your heads, O gates.
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
Lift up, lift up your heads, O gates,
That the King of Glory may come in.
The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,
The world and those who dwell therein,
For he has founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.
Lift up, lift up your heads, O gates.
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
Lift up, lift up your heads, O gates,
That the King of Glory may come in.
Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord
And who shall enter His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart
And does not lift up his soul to what is false
Lift up, lift up your heads, O gates.
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
Lift up, lift up your heads, O gates,
That the King of Glory may come in.
Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty.
Mighty in battle, the Lord of Hosts,
He is the King of Glory.
Lift up, lift up your heads, O gates.
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
Lift up, lift up your heads, O gates,
That the King of Glory may come in.
King of Glory may come in.
